Those acts were the special task of the sacred men (the recluse). However, around the end of the Cloister Government Period, the pilgrimage type of visiting China had begun to change into that of seeking for the Dharma itself. This trend was based on the phenomenon of the new Buddhist Movement risen from the contradictions amongst the established system.</description>
