| 抄録: | 本稿は19世紀末から20世紀初めにかけて製作された朝鮮半島地形図の地名を通して古代朝鮮語古語を考察することを目的とする。本稿で考察の対象とするのは日本が朝鮮半島において1895年から1906年までの間に測図した5万分の1地形図である。この地形図の地名は漢字で表記され、その地名の読み方が片仮名で注音されている。地名はその保守性ゆえに古形を保っている場合が多く、地名とその読み方を調査することで、古代朝鮮語の一端を明らかにすることができると考える。古代朝鮮語において「城」は「忽（kol）」「己（ki）」「잣（cas）」であったと考えられている。本稿で考察の対象とした地形図からは「잣（cas）」を見出すことができたが、「忽」「己」を見出すことはできなかった。その「잣（cas）」も朝鮮半島の内陸地域にわずかに残されているに過ぎない。大部分の場合、「城」は漢字語の「城（seong）」で現れている。このことから「城」をあらわす古代朝鮮語のうち「忽（kol）」「己（ki）」は早くに淘汰されて「잣（cas）」のみが命脈を保ち、さらに「잣（cas）」も「城（seong）」によってほとんど淘汰されたという推測が可能である。
This paper is intended to clarify words of ancient Korean through a map published from the end of 19th century through the early 20th century. This article studies one-50,000th topographical maps which Japan produced from 1895 through 1906 in the Korean Peninsula. The place name of this map is written in Chinese characters, and the method to read is written in katakana aside. The katakana written beside the place name displays a method to read the place name. Because an archaic word is included in the place name, I can clarify ancient words of Korean by investigating how to read place name. The castle was called "kol" "ki" "cas" in ancient Korean. I was able to discover "cas" in the place name of the map, but was not able to discover "ki" "kol". This "cas" was slightly left in the inland in Korean Peninsula. It is thought that "ki" "kol" became extinct at early time. In the words of the archaic word which meant a castle, it was recognized that "cas" was left until the 20th century. However, in the case of most, the castle was called "seong" in Chinese character word. Therefore, the word of an archaic word meaning a castle is screened by "seong" of the Chinese character word, and it is thought that "cas" slightly remained in the place name. |
